Hacking AI: Bruce Schneider at DEF CON 34

A great talk by Bruce Schneier at DEF CON 34 where he highlights that hacking is everywhere and how AI is finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in computer code, but also in other codes (e.g. legal texts, tax code).

He's highlighting how finding loopholes in code, which can be a lot of things, even social norms, mostly based on ideas he's presented in his book A Hacker's Mind

I want to especially highlight his reply to the last question at 41:33, which is a call to action to all of us with a hacker mindset.

I think about democracy as a system that leverages conflict to solve problems. [...] The idea was [...] that cooperation is expensive and competition is cheap. [...] Fast forward to today and cooperation is way cheaper [...] and competition is extraordinarily expensive. [...] In that kind of world we need to rebalance competition and cooperation.

Let's all think about that and consider how we can improve the world through cooperation!
